Copyright is some dumb thing that allows people to protect their stuff so others won't take credit for their stuff and make money off it. Often, the right to have protected copyrights and the freedom of press often feud. People will sue you for breaking their copyright. Often, victims of infringement just want to have fun and watch YTPs or create YTPs or watch videos they have trouble looking for otherwise.
Copyright Issues on YouTube
- Songs. Sometimes whole audio tracks will be removed just because they used someone else's song without permission.
- Colgate. Once, WalrusGuy posted a YTP (for humorous reasons only) saying Dr. Rabbit was a racist. However, Colgate took it seriously and YouTube (under control of Google) was forced to suspend him.
- Viacom. Oh, don't get me started on that.
