The 4th wall is a wall that people that is usually either broken too much or not broken enough. It is not really a wall, but a barrier between the fictional characters and the audience (whoever is watching, playing, or reading the character). If you break it,
you buy it, you are acknowledging that you are a fictional character, or simply just referencing the possibility. You could also reference the source you are in, who created the source, or the features (like music or health bar) found in the source.
Cases Where It is Broken, Demolished, or Totally Destroyed
- Zelda: Wand of Gamelon and Link: Faces of Evil. Both Link and Zelda talk to whoever is playing or watching, and gives them instructions on how to play the game without losing. In YTPs of these tutorials, they end up breaking themselves, too.
- Hotel Mario: Although Fat Mario and Gay Luigi break the fourth wall and talk to the character as well, they are too lazy to give tutorials and just tell the player to "check out the Enclosed Instruction Book."
- Paper Mario: Yes.
- supermarioglitchy4: One video about "Breaking Walls.
- Various YTPs: In one, they even said their video was boring and complained about the uploader.
